New Look, New Direction
You may notice a bit of a change in the look of this newsletter. Our website has undergone a change, to reflect the new direction of South West eCommerce this year.
Some time back, we started our business to help people get the most out of the internet and over time we found that we were building websites and offering some advice to people about how to take their business online. We found ourselves dealing with small business people and that was fine, they’re the people we knew and understood. Some of our clients aren’t small anymore, and that’s cool to watch.
As a demo for others, we started to play with a process called Affiliate Marketing, and over time we have found it is a way that business people can take their products and their ideas to a huge market. We have found that for us, it's also a way to expand what we do, to make a reasonable income for our labours, and to generate some freedom.
South West eCommerce continues to provide the services you need to run your business online (eg. website design, domain names, etc), but now focuses heavily on our specialities of affiliate marketing, search engine optimization, and search engine advertising. Sale Of South West eCommerce Hosting Division
South West eCommerce customers should now have received notification that our hosting division was recently purchased by Net Logistics.
Over the past few years, our hosting customer base has rapidly increased. It recently reached the point where we felt we had to make a business decision to ensure we could continue to provide high-quality hosting services that also maintained excellent support and high quality of service. Unfortunately, we realized that our administrative office no longer had the capacity or resources to effectively continue to do this. Moreover, we felt it was timely to focus on our core specialities, namely search engine optimization, search engine marketing, and affiliate marketing. Thus, we decided that the best solution to help ensure our clients have the best web hosting possible was to sell our hosting division to Net Logistics.
For the most part, this transition will be extremely smooth for our customers. In fact, we have long utilised Net Logistics as our subcontractor for our hosting services, and therefore the actual location and day-to-day management of the server will not change. Net Logistics will officially take over our web hosting services on 5 February 2010, and we know that we can rely upon them to provide our customers with the level and type of service they expect and deserve.
